Haunted Forest Est 2010
This is an incredibly fun event! Bill donates his trails and volunteers at this annual event to put on a scary trail for adults at Hallowe'en. Jacqui and Jocelyn volunteer to help organize and run the event. All food donations are given to the Sundridge foodbank.

Extreme Bush Race Est 2018
Copeman Tree Farms team-up with local volunteers for the only 5km obstacle mud run in the Almaguin Highlands! Bill donates the complete use of his farm to create 5kms of trails, as well as volunteers all summer organizing and setting up for the big event. All family members volunteer on race day to help make this fundraiser a huge success.
Since 2018, the Copeman family has helped raise over $15,000 in donations to: Christmas Cheer, Sundridge-Strong Fire Dept., Foodbank, School athletic equipment, South River Figure Skating Club, Almaguin Senior B Hockey Team, free hockey clinics, free lakeside yoga, free kickboxing class, and many more!!

PhragFighters
Bill and his family are a dedicated team of volunteers helping the PhragFighters on Lake Bernard. There are now 3 Copeman generations volunteering every year. Bill volunteers endless hours and uses his own work equipment to help the PhragFighters eradicate this invasive species from our beloved lake.

Delicious BBQs!
You'll usually see Jocelyn & Maiya on the grill at community events. They use only premium & top quality products to grill up some absolutely delicious bbq items! These BBQs help support all other programs, as well as help start new ones.

FREE Canada Day BBQ
- down by the park, on the boat launch side of the dirt road.
- celebrating Canada Day shouldn't be something that is expensive for your family. We give back to our community with a free BBQ & free games area, so everyone can enjoy the festivities with their kids without worrying about the costs.
Sunflower Festival BBQ
- in front of #99 Main St. This fundraiser helps us fund our projects throughout the year.
You'll find perfectly grilled footlong all beef hotdogs, all beef burgers (try the Highlander specialty!), tasty big sausages (these have become locally famous!), kids meals, snacks, drinks, and more!
We offer fresh, new and delicious items help keep our community events exciting!

Train Rides!
Bill volunteers to help make special appearances with his train in our local community events, ie Canada Day (weather permitting). The train also makes an appearance at his Easter Egg Hunt & Fall Pumpkin Hunts.

Teddy Bear Picnic
Copeman Tree Farms sponsors and helps organize the annual Teddy Bear Picnic. This is another beloved community program that was lost many years ago. They are excited to help bring it back!

Beautify The Community
Bill runs a project called Beautify the Community. He teams up with local volunteers to plant trees in the Almaguin Highlands and also organizes annual community road clean-ups in town.

Christmas Angel's Tree
Bill organizes a beloved Christmas program in the SSJ community and throughout the Almaguin Highlands. The collection & distribution of Christmas gifts to seniors and families at Christmas time.

Breakfast with Santa
Bill & Jocelyn team-up with other community volunteers for a fun breakfast with Santa fundraiser at Christmas time. All funds support local families at Christmas time.

Summer Sports Camp
This has become our community's annual beloved summer sports camp. Jocelyn and Maiya volunteer to organize and run the program. Bill volunteers on Fridays to take the kids fishing on his 'Pirate' ship! He also donates the use of his boat, property, and amenities for the summer. Because of the volunteers and donations, the fee is just $100/camper for a full week of outdoor adventure! This is a highly sought after camp that is full (with a waitlist) every year and funds are put back into campers during their week at summer camp. Any remaining funds are put back into bringing more new exciting programs to town!

Lake Bernard Swim Lessons
Bill revitalized an old beloved swim program that was lost to our community many years ago due to a lack of volunteers. The Copeman family volunteers their time to help with registration and donates swim gear annually, as needed, to help keep the registration costs low, or completely free!

Almaguin Highlands Trails Club
Jacqui and Jocelyn founded & run a free outdoor trails club. Copeman Tree Farms donates their land for winter meet-ups and plan other meet-ups throughout the summer on different trails and lakes within Almaguin.

Chase from Paw Patrol
Bill volunteers to help make special appearances in his Chase costume at our local community events, ie Canada Day.

Superhero Dog Walk
Bill donates his trails and volunteers at this annual dog walk. All funds are donated and this is one of the few events where dogs are welcome!

Bike Rodeos
Bill & Suzanne are big supporters of the bike rodeos. You'll often find Jacqui, Jocelyn & Maiya helping as well. They volunteer their time and also make personal donations to the program.

Building Homes
Since 2024, Bill and Jocelyn have volunteered annually to help build homes for families in Guatemala. In 2025, granddaughter Maiya also volunteered, making it 3 generations of Copemans.

Children's Christmas Telethon
The Copemans always volunteer to help answer phones and make an annual donation.
